About Faculty of Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine, part of Transilvania University of Brasov, was established by Government Decision no. 568/16.08.1995 and accredited by Government Decision 410/2002.

It currently operates four undergraduate study programmes (Medicine, General Nursing, Balneo-physical-kinetic Therapy and Recuperation, and Clinical Laboratory), three master’s degree programmes (Management of Preventive Strategies and Health Policies, Palliative Care Management and Strategies, and Traditional Chinese Medicine), a doctoral programme, and a residency programme.

The Medicine undergraduate study programme was accredited by GD No. 693/30.06.2003, and reaccredited, respectively, according to the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS) address No. 5336 / 28.07.2008 (OM No. 741/19 June 2009).

The master’s degree programmes were accredited according to the ARACIS address No. 10923 / 11.08.2010. The General Nursing study programme operates, according to the approval number 657/2005, as an undergraduate 4-year study programme.

The Balneo-physical-kinetic Therapy and Recuperation programme was authorised by the ARACIS address No. 4574/27.08.2007.
