Study programmes

This bachelor's degree programme integrates in the undergraduate field of Health and has a duration of 6 years (360 ECTS credits). The preparation of future doctors through this bachelor’s programme includes 5,500 hours of theoretical and practical training. The objective of the study programme is the acquisition of basic and specialised medical knowledge designed to develop the motivation for the medical profession. Through a high-quality learning process, we integrate theoretical activities of medical knowledge with practice-based learning necessary for the profession of general practitioner. We involve our students in research activities giving them the opportunity to become medical researchers.

 

Perspectives for graduates: Graduates of the Medicine programme can enrol in the Residency examinations for the specialisations of medical and surgical specialties at universities in Romania or other EU countries and/or continue their studies through the master’s or doctoral programmes.

The General Nursing programme began in the year 1999 following the experience with a TEMPUS project. Since 2005 it is a specialty at undergraduate level in line with European Union norms. The training of future nurses through this bachelor’s programme has a duration of 4 years and includes 4,600 hours of theoretical and practical training. The curriculum provides theoretical knowledge as well as clinical experience and adequate ethical attitude. The learning process is designed according to the sectoral regulations of the European Union and the current regulations of the Order of Nurses, Midwives and Medical Assistants of Romania.

 

The study programme for the specialty of Balneo-physical-kinetic Therapy and Recuperation is part of the Health fundamental domain and has the following objectives:
- understanding the purpose of kinesiotherapy and general Balneo-physiotherapy, the modern recovery concepts and their place within the health sciences, the legal responsibilities and ethical considerations of professional practice;
- acquiring the necessary abilities for practising the profession of kinesiotherapist and balneo-physiotherapist defined through the competencies developed during the study programme.

 

The Balneo-physical-kinetic Therapy and Recuperation programme forms kinesiotherapists, highly qualified specialists in recuperation, therapeutic assistance and physical and functional rehabilitation. Our future specialists will be able to provide prevention and treatment services through specific therapies. They will tend to healthy people (the role of prophylaxis is unanimously recognised) as well as to people affected by various pathologies – the kinesiotherapist’s role is very important and complementary to the specialist.

The bachelor’s degree programme Clinical Laboratory began in 2013 as a response to an acute need for specialists on the labour market and to a limited offer from the higher education institutions at a national level.

 

This new medical degree offers the chance of a high-standard specialisation in a growing profession in the modern medical field, with highly qualified professors. It provides modern facilities for teaching as well as for clinical practice.

 

Specialising as a clinical laboratory assistant offers graduates clinical or research job opportunities in Romania and abroad, both in the public and private sectors.
